Robert Sawchuk
President and Founder, Petrochemical Strategies, LLC
Mr. Sawchuk founded Petrochemical Strategies, LLC in 2020 to provide executive expertise for NGL and petrochemical projects, litigation support and joint venture consulting. Prior to forming Petrochemical Strategies, LLC, Mr. Sawchuk was the business director for the BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals, LLC which operated a petrochemical complex and refining assets in southeast Texas. Mr. Sawchuk is experienced leading major feedstock projects, sourcing & negotiating supply contracts for crude oil/condensates and NGLs, marketing petrochemical and refinery products (including higher olefins, aromatics and other by products), optimizing integrated refinery and petrochemical assets, negotiating pipeline/terminal contracts and dispute resolution.
His prior experience includes business and marketing management for acrylic monomers and superabsorbent polymers across the Americas and globally, as well as strategic planning management for dispersions and paper chemicals.
Mr. Sawchuk is a Founder and CEO of 245Recycle (an advanced plastic recycling company), a Board Member of the Founders Club, a Board Member of the Houston Marathon Foundation, past Board Member and Vice Chair of the Houston Food Bank, and past Board Member and President of Southwest Chemical Association.
Mr. Sawchuk earned a Bachelor of Science (Major) in Chemistry from the University of Manitoba and a Masters of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
